Major Spark is Mark Goodman and Brian Charles. Mark previously formed Magnet when he recorded Don’t Be a Penguin with Moe Tucker (Velvet Underground) on drums. Magnet also released Shark Bait produced by David Lowery and Which Way with Matt Wilson (Trip Shakespeare). Brian Charles operates Zippah Studio where he produced artists including Chad Stokes (Dispatch) and The Sheila Divine.
